The Town of East Haddam is one of only a handful of towns in Connecticut to have formed an Agriculture Commission. An underlying premise for starting the Agriculture Commission is to preserve and protect the town's rural heritage by supporting what is currently here as well as promoting future growth in agriculture. The East Haddam Agriculture Commission got its start in the Fall of 2010 and strives to serve as a resource base for local farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs and also to encourage new agricultural enterprises. This website represents one way in which the Agriculture Commission is working toward this goal. We welcome ideas and suggestions for improvements as we continue to build this site.
